I can’t think of a better way to kick off the holiday season than with the whose who in Atlanta!
GuestList, DryBar and W Buckhead joined forces to celebrate the holidays in style!
And the best surprise and delight in my car- free blow out and an umbrella
Rumor has it that there is a GuestList party on the radar for February 1, 2014- worth saving the date- trust me
Happy Thanksgiving! This Thanksgiving was special for a few reasons:
1. Last year Thanksgiving was hell on earth and we basically skipped it
2. I am thankful to be healthy and in one piece after my accident
3. Most importantly it was our first Thanksgiving as a married couple and we hosted it at our new house with our family and friends!
I am so thankful for all of our blessings this past year!
We feasted like kings:
Egg, bacon and cheese cupcakes
Chicken and waffle sliders
Chorizo stuffed mushrooms
My special turkey
Turdunkin smoked on the Big Green Egg
Sweet Potato casserole
Smashed potato bar
Bacon wrapped French green beans
Roasted brussel sprouts
Avocado, mozzarella and tomato salad
Homemade apple pie
* I’m proud to say everything was homemade by yours truly except the Turdunkin that Brennan smoked and the sweet potato casserole my mom made.
I’m pooped….. Good night ya’ll

This has been an exciting month! If you are keeping up with Bravo’s The New Atlanta you saw me on last week’s episode blowing off steam at the gun range with Emily Lipman – if you know anywhere I can get a pink gun let me know
On Saturday I was honored to be a model in the Pink is Power Fashion Show. The American Cancer Society asked cancer survivors to be models. Most people don’t know that I am a survivor of childhood cancer but I am proud to be a survivor and continue to support the work of the American Cancer Society. The best part of the event was meeting other survivors. I met a women who had survived breast cancer and a women younger than me who is currently beating brain cancer. I was particularly inspired by the women who is recently in remission from brain cancer. Only in her 20′s, she had the most positive outlook on life and was brilliant and beautiful! The fashion show was fun but I was most thankful to have met such inspiring women.
For your amusement……..
My life never stops moving. I was back from my honeymoon for a short and overwhelming week and then back on the road to New Orleans to celebrate one of my best friend’s at her bachelorette party.
Celebrate is an understatement! We took bourbon street by surprise! Check out a few fun pictures from our weekend escapades!
Our first stop was Tropical Isle to get our weekend going with Hand Grenade’s, one of Bourbon Street’s most famous cocktails!
A little scared when we visited Madame Lalaurie’s House of Horrors on the ghost tour. If you watch American Horror story you know the crazy stuff that went on in this house.
YOLO was all we could say as we chomped on turkey legs twice the size of our arms at the BBQ & Jazz Festival.
Jackson Square is one of my favorite French Quarter sites
Little Black Dress Night to celebrate the future MRS!
We went out with a bang at Pat O’s and Goldmine!
Weekends like this past weekend make me so thankful to be surrounded by such amazing friends!
The last few weeks have been the best weeks of my life. I truly am so happy and excited for my future with my new husband (so crazy to use that word).
I was thinking that coming back from Mexico was going to be awful but this week ended up being pretty exciting. As some of you know, one of my good friends Emily Lipman, is staring on Bravo’s new reality show, The New Atlanta. The New Atlanta highlights the escapades of 5 up and coming socialites (or want to be socialites- well really only questionable train wreck).
Emily and I have co-hosted the Raw Love Fashion Show for the past three years to showcase the styles of her boutique, Raw Denim, and raise awareness and funds for Cystic Fibrosis, a charity her and family are personally involved with through Wish for Wendy, an annual softball tournament. Because Emily was filming for the show, Bravo followed our planning process and they filmed show night and added in a little extra drama
Take a look at three of my favorite scenes from this weeks episode. You can catch The New Atlanta on Bravo every Tuesday at 10pm EST. Don’t miss next week’s episode when Emily and I blow off some steam from the stress of the fashion show!

A private sailing cruise is not too shabby to wind down our honeymoon. The Cabo landscape is breathtaking and today we soaked up every inch as we snorkeled and sailed the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean. Today’s experience is definitely going to be hard to top!
Stay tuned for “Eating Our Way Through Cabo” for an inside look at our favorite dining experiences!
The oohhs and the ahhhs and rumbling of celebrities every time we mentioned that we were spending the second week of our honeymoon at Capella Pedegral were completely understood when we drove through a tunnel blasted in a mountain and showed up in heaven.
We were immediately greeted and ushered through the open air reception area with fresh agava ritas in hand and told we were receiving a room upgrade and they would like to entertain us by the pool while we waited for our room.
During our wait we relaxed on down like lounges at the infinity pool nuzzled on the side of the mountain. We sipped the freshest cocktail creations I have ever tasted. We were greeted by our personal assistant who immediately took care of our dinner reservations for the week, arranged our spa appointment and provided us with the most luxurious activities Cabo has to offer and we didn’t even have to get out of the pool (I see a private chartered sailing excursion in our future).
When we retreated to our ocean view suite we were welcomed with champagne and strawberries from our personal assistant and pleasantly surprised to find our own private plunge pool (a freaking pool in our room). The suite in designed eloquently down to lounge bed in the shower. This is the first suite I have ever stayed in where I can honestly say I would love it if my bedroom and bathroom where an identical design. After oogling over our room and taking a dip in our pool we retreated to be waited on hand and foot at the resort pool. When we returned from the pool we were pleasantly surprised by fresh guacamole and coronas waiting in our room for Mexican tea time.
Turn down service has an all new meaning at Capella. Forget chocolates on the pillow because I could definitely get used to coming home to a room lit by tea candles and fresh chocolate meringues waiting bedside and petals adorning the most comfortable bed I have ever laid my head on.
We have felt more relaxed in the 24 hours we have been at Capella than in the last week. I think we have found our anniversary retreat for life.
Luxury meets paradise……
The adventure continues
